Feedback

We had recently uploaded the final music video on YouTube as we wanted to show our hard work to the general public. We have been left with some feedback from the viewers and they have left us some good comments as well as some constructive criticisms on what we could of improved on. This has helped me in so many ways as I can look into the comments and work harder on my ancillary texts.

Final Digipak

This is my final digipak for my music video. I incorporated many close up shots of the artist for the digipak because I felt that they fitted well with the genre and concept of the video. All of the images are in black and white as it presents a sad and distressing theme, which is exactly what I was going for. The third image is an image that I had taken from the actual music video as the piano was a key prop in this video and I felt that it was only right to add this to the digiapk. As for the effects added to the digipak I made sure that there was a variety to make sure it was uniquely styled. I used cartoon affects and even the Andy Warhol effect for the track listing (last image) as I wanted to make it look very classy and simple as well as familiarising the audience with a classic style used by the artist. In comparison to my first draft of my digipak I wanted to make sure that the change looked much more professional and carefully thought out. Although there is still a lack of colour I believe that this was the right direction in making sure that this digipak was suitable for the genre and theme of the video.

Final Magazine Advert

This is my final magazine advert for my music video. As the song is a very slow and melodic song I felt that I should keep the colours calm but still not look very dull. In comparison to my first draft I felt that the black and white image of the artist was not stylised enough and that is why I felt that adding this bronzing colour adds some elegance to it.

Drafts For Digipak and Magazine Advert

This is my 1st draft of my CD cover for the track listing. I chose to use simple colours and have vignette border to make it more stylised.

This is the draft for my magazine advert. I wanted to maintain a simplistic style.

This is my 1st draft of my CD cover. I once again wanted to it simple and mainly focus on the image/

Photoshop Images

I have photoshoped some images which I may or may not use for my digipak and magazine advert. I played around with photoshop to come up with a few ideas and see what would work well for my work.
